The Gold Coast is North of Oak Street, between LaSalle Blvd and Lake Shore Drive. During the summer Oak Street Beach is the place to be, sunbathing, skating, volleyball and biking.

There are many Landmark buildings as well as Boutique shopping on Oak Street. You'll find stores like Prada, Barneys, Chanel, Kate Spade, the Coletti Gallery, and Jimmy Choo. Around the corner on Michigan Avenue is Louis Vuitton, and Anne Fontain, along with the 900 North Shops at Michigan Avenue. The Astor Street District has over 300 buildings on the historical registry.

If you get hungry head over to N. Rush Street. At Night the club scene is good right around State Street. The Hancock Tower is a must see and offers great views of the City on Michigan Avenue. The Historic Pump Room in the Ambassador East Hotel was once a favorite hangout of celebrities, like Frank Sinatra.
