Things to Do in the Neighborhood:

The Magnificent Mile is located on North Michigan Avenue, and has more than 450 stores including designer boutiques, upscale shopping centers, department stores, Restaurants and Luxury Hotels. The area spans over eight blocks and is one of Chicago's most popular areas. Starting at the Michigan Avenue Bridge, the 1920 bascule masterpiece, are two of the more recognizable buildings, the Wrigley and the Tribune Tower. Moving up the avenue are shops like Disney, Niketown, Victoria's Secret, Tiffany's, Bloomingdales, American Girl Place, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Other Landmark Building on the strip are Water Tower, one of the only buildings that survived the great Chicago fire of 1871. Water Tower Place, nearby has over 100 shops and restaurants inside. More landmark buildings include the Hancock Tower, the Allerton Hotel, and the Drake Hotel. During the winter months the Mag Mile hosts a great Holiday event, the Lights Festival Parade. At the far North Michigan Avenue runs into the exclusive Gold Coast Neighborhood.
