Visitor Information:

The Art Institute of Chicago has a collection of Paintings, prints and drawings, sculptures, photographs, video, textiles, and architectural drawings that span 5,000 years. Check the web site for a list of current exhibits.

The Collection includes African, American, Ancient, Architecture and Design, Arms and Armor, Asian, Contemporary, European Decorative Art, Painting and Sculpture, Modern, Photography, Prints and Drawings, Textiles, and the Thorne Miniature Rooms. Artists features works by Edward Hopper, Mary Cassatt, Grant Wood, Monet, Degas, Renoir, and Van Gogh.

The Museum was ranked by Child magazine the #1 art museum in the country for kids.

Hours:
Monday–Wednesday, Friday, 10:30–5:00
Thursday, 10:30-8:00
(Target Free Thursdays 5:00-8:00)
Saturday–Sunday, 10:00–5:00

The museum is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's days.

Admission:
Adults: $12
Children, Students, and Seniors (65 and up): $7
Children under 12 are free. Members are always free
