The Chicago Theatre opened its doors in 1921 and is a vital part State Street and the North Loop Theatre District. The Chicago Theatre features a variety of entertainment stage events, concerts, dance, comedy and special events. The auditorium is seven stories high, seats 3,600 people, and is more than one half of a city block long. The vertical CHICAGO sign is a six stories high Chicago landmark.
