Visitor Information:

No trip to Chicago would be complete without a visit to the Field Museum. With more than 35 world class permanent exhibits the museum is full of unique and exciting discoveries. one of the big draws is Sue, the largest, most complete, and best preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil.

Other top attractions to the museum are: Inside Ancient Egypt, and exhibition featuring tombs, and mummies. Evolving Planet, where you can take a journey through 4 billion years of life on Earth. The Fossil Preparation Laboratory, where you can watch technicians chisel fossils from layers of rock get a rare look at the work that goes on behind the scenes at the Museum.

Hours:
Regular hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. Last admission at 4 p.m.

Open every day except Christmas.

Admission:
General Admission entitles you entry into the Museum, which includes SUE, Evolving Planet (which requires a separate timed-entry ticket) and Inside Ancient Egypt as well as exhibitions on many different cultures, mammals, birds, gems, minerals, and plants!
