Located at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Street, the Plaza offers visitors one of the best views of Chicago’s famed Michigan Avenue streetwall.
Kicking off Chicago’s winter season, the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park will open on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 and will remain open through Sunday, March 14, 2010, weather permitting. The rink, now in its ninth season and drawing more than 100,000 skaters annually, is free and open to the public. Skate rental is available for $10. The ice rink is located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison Streets.
Regular hours for this season are as follows: Mondays—Thursdays: 12 pm — 8 pm Fridays: 12 pm — 10 pm Saturdays (through Jan. 2): 10 am — 10 pm Saturdays (beginning Jan. 9): 10 am — 9 pm Sundays: 10 am — 9 pm
Holiday Hours: Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving): 10 am — 4 pm Thursday, December 24: 10 am — 6 pm Friday, December 25: 10 am — 4 pm Thursday, December 31: 10 am — 8 pm Friday, January 1: 12 pm —10 pm
In the summer, visitors can enjoy al fresco dining on the plaza at the Park Grill Restaurant. The Café on the McCormick Tribune Plaza will open for the season in May. Reservations can be made by calling 312.521.PARK.
Hours: The park is open daily from 6am - 11pm.
Visitor Tips: Start your visit to the park at the Millennium Park Welcome Center located at 201 E. Randolph Street in the Northwest Exelon Pavilion.
