Not Sure What Neighborhood to Stay in Chicago?

There are plenty of swanky Luxury Hotels on North Michigan Avenue. Closer to the Chicago River is the sophisticated Conrad Hotel, the Intercontinental, and the Marriott Downtown, a larger convention type hotel. Up North towards Erie, is the family friendly Omni, which is always a good pick. The Allerton hotel was a social hot spot in the 40's and 50's and gained nationwide attention when a popular radio program was broadcast from the 23rd floor lounge, you can still see the us Tip Top Tap Sign high above the hotel. Some of the more pricey Luxury hotels in the area include, the Peninsula, the Park Hyatt, Ritz Carlton, and the Four Seasons. Any of those four are good choices, but come with a price. North of Water Tower towards the Gold Coast are a few more moderately priced hotels: the Westin (Good Choice for Business), European Style Hotel Raffaello, and the intimate Millennium Knickerbocker.
