What We Do
In August 2022, migrants abruptly began arriving in Chicago from Texas, many were left with no resources or aid. On the morning of May 10, 2023 Chicago's Mayor declared a State of Emergency. START HERE Chicago, was created out of seeing a need to help children and families arriving to our city.
We aim to encourage people who see constant news stories of tradgety happening around them, that it is easier to get involved than they think. Whether it's through shopping our lists in the comfort of your sofa, donating to our projects, spreading the word, or supporting us with your time, we aim to make it SIMPLE to directly help people in need.
We strive to provide resources and support to individuals and families who are facing difficult times. By working with local organizations, businesses, and individuals to identify people in need and providing direct aid. Our team is passionate about making a difference and seeing positive change in our community.

Our mission is to empower people to take action, inspire them to create positive change, & be the voice of those who are voiceless.
